About My MLP Collection
My Little Ponies are my addiction. I can't seem to kick it! I've tried a few times to stop collecting, but after a few years, I come back to it. It all started when I was just a little kid, probably around three years old. I was born in 1988, so I missed out on most of the MLP action. But, my teenage babysitter did have MLP. She gave them to me as hand-me-downs. I fell in love with them. I can't remember what ponies I had, except for Firefly. She was always my favorite, especially in the movie! I played with them every day and every night. I took them into the bath-tub pretty often, which resulted in their untimely demise. My mother threw them away when they got a little gross from constantly getting submerged. I was devastated, but in time, I forgot all about them.
It wasn't until I was eleven that I rediscovered ponies. I was at a yard sale in the middle of nowhere with my grandmother. I sifted through old toys that were once loved by some other child, when I stumbled upon a ziploc bag filled with pastel figures. I picked it up to take a closer look. They were ponies! There must have been seven or eight ponies in that bag. It was only marked $0.75! I quickly jammed my hand into my pocket to get the money and bought them. When we got home I started cleaning them up. Being that this was the early 2000s, we had just gotten a computer, so I made good use of it and searched for My Little Ponies on the internet. That's when I discovered all the websites like Dream Valley and Clover Valley Fields and all of the lovely MLP forums. I was hooked.
I've been collecting off and on since then. I am twenty-two years old, and right now I still only have about 40 MLPs. I've moved many times since I was eleven, so many ponies have been lost along the way. I also stopped collecting during the four years I was away at college. I've just graduated, so now it's back on! However, my pony budget is very limited, so I am now experimenting with trading to get the ponies I want.
Well, hope you enjoyed looking at my MLP collection. Make sure to look around the rest of the website!
