Fake Remco Ponies
As we saw with Cabbage Patch fakies, Remcos were faked as well. These were sold as "Lovely Pets" during the 1980s and are still sold by various companies today. One known Remco fakie company is Jaru, a maker of various dollar store toys. Some companies have altered them, making them in a rearing pose, something I've never seen on a real Remco.
Real Remco ponies did not include pegasi, but fakie Remcos do come in pegasus form. The wings resemble those of the pegacorn wings. For a breif time, Remco fakies were sold individually at Wal*Mart for the low, low price $0.88 in their novely toy section. Those happened to be the JaRu ones.
They are very soft and squishy and come in vibrant colors with varying symbold and poses. Some have eyeshadow, some have horns, some have wings, and so on.
